The village from which they departed
By searching for a village, you will find the name(s) of the periodical that those villages were listed in. You will then need to obtain copies of the pages in those particular periodicals to find the names, ages and relationships of the individuals, as well as the ship they came on, port of arrival, and date.
Tips: Remember to search for all possible spelling variations of the village. Sometimes province names were listed instead of a village name on ship passenger lists. When available, the AHSGR map number and quadrant on which a village appears are noted on the Village File Inventory. Maps may be purchased from the Online Store. Some villages have Village Coordinators (VCs) to assist in village research. A list of VCs is on the Village Coordinators page.
